Privacy Policy

TrapInsight ("TrapInsight", "we", "us") is a web application at app.trapinsight.com that analyzes clay-shooting video recorded with ShotKam cameras. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: gil.dror@gmail.com.

1. Information we collect

From Google Sign-In. You sign in with your Google account. With your permission, Google shares your name, email address, profile picture URL, and a Google account identifier with us (the basic openid, email and profile scopes). We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar or any other Google data.

Content you provide. The video clips you upload; the hit/miss scores you enter (including the time you tapped each score when using field scoring); session details you choose to add, such as location, gun, choke and shells; your settings; and feedback you send us.

Access requests. If you request access on trapinsight.com, we collect your name, email address, whether you use a ShotKam, and any note you include.

Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and request time) for security and troubleshooting. When someone opens a referral link, we store a one-way hash of their IP address and browser — not the address itself — to count unique visits.

2. How we use information

To sign you in and keep your account secure.
To provide the service: storing and analyzing your clips and scores, and showing you your results.
To respond to access requests, feedback and support messages.
To operate the referral program (crediting free months when friends join through your link).
To maintain, secure and improve TrapInsight.

We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers.

3. Google user data

TrapInsight's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We use the information Google shares with us only to identify you, create and secure your account, display your name in the app, and contact you about your account. We do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to run the service (our hosting provider, below), to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. People can read it only with your consent (for example, for support you request), for security purposes, or to comply with law.

4. How information is stored and shared

Your data is stored on Google Cloud in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. Each user's sessions and clips are kept in a separate, access-controlled area that other users cannot reach. Google Cloud acts as our infrastructure provider and processes data on our behalf.

Your clips and scores are private to you. If you choose to create a feedback session and share its link with a coach or friend, the people with that link can view the shots you included and leave comments until you close the session or remove them.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. The app also uses your browser's local storage for preferences and for scores you enter at the range before they sync. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies. The Sign in with Google button is provided by Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete individual sessions in the app at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, email gil.dror@gmail.com from the address on your account; we will delete it within 30 days, including backup copies, which expire on a rolling schedule of no more than 30 days. You can also revoke TrapInsight's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask questions about how it is used by emailing gil.dror@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we will honor them.

8. Children

TrapInsight is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
