Terms of Service

Effective October 4, 2026

These terms govern your use of TrapInsight (the website at trapinsight.com and the application at app.trapinsight.com). By using TrapInsight you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. Beta service

TrapInsight is in early access ("beta"). Features may change, break, or be removed, and the service may be unavailable at times. Access is by invitation, and we may limit or end beta access.

2. Your account

You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old, and if you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use TrapInsight only with a parent's or guardian's permission. Keep your Google account secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Your content

You own the videos, scores and other content you upload ("your content"). You give TrapInsight a limited license to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to provide the service to you — for example, to analyze your clips and show you the results — and, if you choose to share a feedback session, to show the shared content to the people you share it with. You confirm you have the right to upload your content.

4. Acceptable use

Don't misuse TrapInsight. In particular, don't upload content you don't have the right to share or that is unlawful; don't try to access other users' data or interfere with the service's security or operation; don't scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the service; and don't use it to harass anyone.

5. Shooting safety

TrapInsight provides automated analysis and general suggestions about technique. It is not a substitute for qualified instruction, and analysis can be wrong. Always follow firearm safety rules, range rules and the instructions of range officers and coaches. You are solely responsible for how you handle firearms.

6. Pricing

TrapInsight is free during early access. We may introduce paid plans in the future; we will tell you in advance, and you won't be charged unless you choose a paid plan.

7. Third-party services

TrapInsight relies on third-party services such as Google Sign-In and Google Cloud. TrapInsight is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by ShotKam; ShotKam is a trademark of its respective owner.

8. Ending your use

You may stop using TrapInsight at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end your access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service; where reasonable, we will give you notice and a chance to download your data first.

9. Disclaimers

TRAPINSIGHT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANALYSIS RESULTS ARE ACCURATE OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. KEEP YOUR OWN COPIES OF YOUR VIDEOS.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRAPINSIGHT AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US$50.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use TrapInsight after that means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
